Ah man, I was there exactly 11 days ago for I Love Techno at the Flanders Expo Halls. Total sensory overload... Best damn event I've ever been to, I think.
Go check out Culture Club if you can. Never actually been there myself, but I hear it's pretty happening. Gent (Ghent) is an excellent choice to hang I think. A few of my former girlfriends were from that area... Try to go check out Brugge as well, if you haven't already (a popular suggestion amongst Belgians, I'd recon). It's "nicer" than Venice (waaaay cleaner, that's for sure). But be warned; it is also waaay 'cute' in case you're absolutely not into that sorta thing ;-)
